With just ₱12 remaining in his Daily Fantasy wallet, he decided to spend it on the inaugural ₱100,000 Lineup Challenge event, which featured the Titan Ultra Giant Risers led by Joshua Munzon and the ageless wonder in Calvin Abueva going up against the Sedrick Barefield and Christian David-powered Blackwater Bossings.
Flores placed his trust in Abueva and Munzon as his captain and vice captain, respectively, while surrounding them with some heavy hitters like PBA 50 rookie Dalph Panopio and 10-year vet Brad Guinto. However, his biggest winning move is adding the Bossings’ Troy Mallillin to his lineup. The move ultimately paid off as the former Ateneo Blue Eagle went off for 26.3 FPs — his best scoring performance of the season yet.
When we asked him whether he expected his lineup to win him the big prize, he said:
“Surprise talaga. I usually go with starters, but this time I picked bench players. Luckily, they played really well — kinda like surprise picks.”

As to when he found out he had emerged victorious, Flores mentioned that he was out on a run early the following morning.
“Kagagaling ko lang sa pagtakbo, tapos narealize ko 8AM na, tapos na yung first game. When I checked the standings, I literally screamed in the street! What’s funny is I only had ₱12 credits left, just enough for one lineup. Super lucky.”

One would think that he would be eager to spend his winnings alongside his lovely girlfriend. While they do already have plans to use some of it to travel, he also noted that he plans to save a big chunk of his prize — a wise decision given the state of the world today.Daily Fantasy users know all too well that there are different strategies towards ultimately winning the contests that they join, and the first-ever winner of the ₱100,000 Lineup Challenge shared some tips for both veterans and newcomers:“Mahirap sa simula at minsan swertehan, pero tuloy-tuloy lang. Eventually, you’ll get it. Player availability and stats matter—you need insights. You really have to study it.”The ₱100,000 Lineup Challenge runs all the way until December 27, 2025 and the prizes will only increase from here on out.
